A little about the Kindergarten Teacher, Mrs. Zetts (and please feel free to email me even in the summer before school starts and even if I'm not your child's teacher yet).....
My name is Mrs. Lisa Zetts. I am from Langhorne, Pennsylvania (home of Sesame Street Place... 25 miles northeast of Philadelphia). I graduated from Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania with a degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I then earned a Master's Degree from Youngstown State University in Elementary Curriculum.
I live in Canfield with my husband Mark who teaches in the Hospitality Management department at Youngstown State University. My husband and I have three children, all former Hilltoppers. Our oldest son Michael, graduated in 2007 from Canfield High School, Kent State University in 2011 and earned a master's degree from Johns Hopkins University in 2019. Michael lives in Washington D.C. and is a communications specialist. Our son Stephen graduated from Canfield High School in 2009, Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 2013 and the University of Pittsburgh in 2017. He lives in Geneva, New York and is an orthotist and a prosthetist. Our daughter Kathryn is a member of the Canfield class of 2012. She graduated from Xavier University in Cincinnati with her BS degree in 2016 and then with her master's degree in 2017. Kathryn lives in Cleveland, Ohio and is an occupational therapist. Canfield Local Schools prepared our children in every way to be lifelong learners. My husband and I are very pleased with the education our children received in Canfield and we know you will be too.
At my house in Canfield, lives a dog named Toby and a cat named Jimmie. My favorite place on Earth (other than Canfield) is Marco Island, Florida. My favorite foods are shrimp, lobster and anything sweet. My favorite things to do are to work in my gardens (I have gardens in my own yard and also at Hilltop School) and teach kindergarten.
If you need to contact me, feel free to send a note to school with your child or call and leave a message with the principal's secretary at 330.533.9806. You can also email me at [email protected] I answer notes the same day and I return phone calls and emails typically after school or in the evening. I'm happy to answer any questions during the school year and during the summer months.
